Different people treat the children differently. But I personally don't agree with "tiger mom" or "tiger dad". It is just so serious. Not everybody can be perfect, and therefore it is too much for a child already. This video even made me shed tears http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Yul9P3m0qo Parents shall think more about it.

No not a tiger mom at all. I want my children to be there best not my best if they get an A- that is still good that's great that is still way better then and F. I know a lot of kids in high school that were like that and lot of them where Asia or Koran I don't know if that has to do where there family comes first or if it's just there personality. I know a few of eithnicities that are same as those but I took more of notice of my friends that where from that part of the world as well as the Philippines.

Hi youless, Saw the video. I dont agree to be a Tiger mom. I would rather handle the situation in a calm way educating my child the importance of scoring more marks will help him in future for getting a seat in good college for further studies and also to get a good job in future rather than yelling on him in public and make him to feel embrassed in front of others. I would offer him a surprise gift if he scores a good marks. And also I dont think A- is very bad grade that she got. There are many who score less than D.

It is just so hurtful to blame the children like this way.

i can not see the vedio. i donot agree to be "tiger mom" or "tiger dad" for i have been a kindergarten teacher for 6 years, and konws that much too strict can not give you a good or well-behaved child. most of the time i could indulge my girl as long as she doesnot involve issuse of principle.

I am more strict in instilling discipline on my kids than my husband. But I know that my being strict is still within reasons. I would not in anyway endanger my kids just so I could get things my way.

I know most parents don't want to hurt their children on purpose.

It seems I have to act totally different roles to teach my kid,I mean, when my wife blame him too much,I have to console him,and make him understand why we ask him to do something.Sometimes,if my mother-in-law spoiled him too much,I have to force him to finish some work by himself, like wearing cloth. It's really a hard work.

It's so sad to hear that some parents hurt their children too much. That can be a bad memories from their mind that sometimes no one can ever take that away, that can be called trauma or grudge that leads in doing bad things. Parents must lead their child by showing their love without hurting them too much.

These parents are claimed to do the best for their children. Actually this is a dilemma.
