One lie is all it takes for someone to lose their faith in you. The best thing you can do is always be upfront, always be real and always tell the truth.

This is true. But being honest ALL the time can be hard. Especially for people who have lied and gotten away with it. It works for them. They don't even realize the trouble they cause for themselves. Most are not aware of the law of Karma. But I agree and I'm a true believer of Radical Honesty.

What about white lies? ;) I'm always trying to be an honest person, and indeed it's kind of a habit and characteristic of me now. When we have things we don't want to share, we can choose to reveal only part of it. But never lie when you can avoid doing it. The consequence might be accumulated and will be serious. Also when you have the habit of lying, things are gonna be worse. I've seen habitual liers, who can lie without a blink of the eyes, and after only a few times I won't believe him anyway, no matter how hard he trys to defend himself.
