I just can't really understand why there is a need to choose

Good day Fellow Mylotters,
I know for a fact that we really should be given our family the best attention, the best care and as much as possible the best things in this world. But what if one day, you would come to a point that you need to choose between your family and to yourself for your life. Wherein a situation requires you to stand firm on the situation that you will going to choose. Maybe it would be easy at first but if you take it seriously this might lead to a more serious matter. But, is it really like this. I mean, does it really need to lead at this scenario. Why should a family be put in a situation wherein you need to choose in between.

it's a hard situation but we must face the truth, even though how much we love our family, we should also love ourselves, guard our happiness, even me, i don't know the right answer, who to choose since i passed that situation...i stand to have a new life but it doesn't mean that we left totally our family. right? we're just searching/finding our own life... and with that we are fully grown up and matured to correct what we choose.we're in between just take care and be sensitive that both parties don't get hurt or understand us. Such a hard decision i know. good luck

indeed a hard and a difficult one. but, i need to stand firm whatever decision and road i will choose. i just hope my family will understand whatever situation i have chosen.

I guess that depends on the bond that you have with your family. As the saying goes, "blood is thicker than water." Otherwise, I'd say go with the lesser evil. But that's just me.
