I love nature. Its so beautiful, but i love people and their natural look. I hate to make someone smile in a picture, if thats not what they want to do. Theres so much beauty in ones looks. Right down to every wrinkle. Thats there beauty. I wish when i take photos, they would just move around and let me shoot. Instead of me setting them and telling them to pose.

Really take the time and get you a good camera with really good lens. Everyone will tell you the best camera out there. You just have to look at them all and do research and find one that suits you. Lens are what you need to really look in to. Have fun!

Ah, well, I've been told to look for a 35mm camera with the ability to have everything maunally adjusted. I was looking into SLR cameras, but since I'm new to this I've been trying to look around and learn as much as I can about cameras, how they work, and different types before I actually go out and buy one.

Hi, I am actually studying to become a professional photographer. It's an apprenticeship, but with the first year in school (2nd and 3rd years are 1 day a week at school, the rest with pro photographer, as an intern/assistant). The great thing about this school is that it's quite up to date on technology, and yet still has several large labs and all the material needed to develop photos the "old fashioned way". My goal is to become an animal photographer, in Canada (I live in Switzerland at the moment, and plan on moving to Canada in 5 to 10 years). As I'm still a student, and mostly rely on my family for financial support, I don't have a huge collection of photo material. But I do have an EOS 300V and a digital EOS 30D. The digital is awesome for someone who is learning. I can try lots of settings, lighting conditions, speeds, (and so on); and get to see the results as soon as I'm home, on a big screen (PC), without paying anything for developpement and such. I already learned a lot since I purchased that camera, and look forward to trying out new ideas and stuff :O) Olivier

Wow how i wish i would of done that when i was younger. I would love to learn the old fashion way. YOu must love animals. YOur talking about wild animals. right. Or you want to photo all animals. I like digital to, only because you get to see them right away and use photoshop. I wish i had a new camara. Olivier good luck in photography and hope to see your great work soon.

Olivier someday you will get that one of a kind shot and i will hear you name and know it was you.

Thanks :O) Yes, wild animals. My dream would be wolves in their natural habitat, but for that you need to live in the wild, among them, for several years. Otherwise it'll just be the photos all other animal photographers already did. And sure, one day, when I manage to take some good and original photos I might post some here (if the site still exists...). Olivier

Sunset - From my backyard.
I do it just for hobby, but hoping maybe career someday. I need to get better with digital (the world has passed me by!). I love to do nature, children, and candid human interest. My friend used to always laugh because she'd see me taking a picture but she didn't know what I was taking a picture of until I showed her the prints. She couldn't believe that I see so many things that she didn't. This is a sunset from my backyard, about 3 days after a volcano erupted in another country, I don't remember where. But I figured that the dust in the air would reach us about then, looked out back, and it was right on schedule! Aloha!
