A hug is a wonderful gift to share,
It is a way to show each other that we care.
There is so much that a hug is able to do,
When you feel those arms around you.
A hug is a place to feel safe and warm,
A comfort for a sad heart that is torn.
An expression of the love in our heart,
For ones who we wish, never to be apart.
A hug is a greeting when we meet to say hello,
Or to say goodbye when we have to go.
It can hold us up when life gets us down,
And makes us smile, instead of frown.
A hug can be given for no reason at all,
And given to all, both big and small.
We're never too old to feel the joy it brings,
As it is one of life's most pleasing things.
And for all of this beauty, a hug is free;
It costs nothing, yet means so much to me.
We should all hug another to show we care,
For to feel a warm hug, nothing can compare...

Yup, that song brings back the meaning to hugs and holding each other in the arms.
I love hugging my mom, my sister, my girlfriend, I also liked hugging my dog when he was alive. Hug is also accepted with guys, I also hug my good friends to show them we are good friends.

Well, in a way, i guess to hug is really a sincere expression of the warmth in our hearts to show that we care. Undeniably the gesture would certainly create sort of a bonding experience as it more of an compassionate approach of showing how we feel towards one another especially to the people you care for so dearly.

Awe you make me want to go give you and everyone a nice big hug. It's true a hug is as warm as the flames glow from a fireplace on a cold winters night. It surrounds us with a comfort that just can't be compared, whether you're happy and joyous or filled with sorrow and pain a hug shows someone cares about our feelings as long as it's not given in vane.

I agree with you. A huge can do a lot for us as well as for others who are apart of our lives. We should strive to be sincere and genuine when we give others hugs. I know that it makes me feel good when I get hugs from others. As well as I feel better about my day and able to better deal with whatever may be going on.

One thing I like doing with my girlfriend is to hug her and hold her in my arms. It is so nice and comfortable. It feels so warm and like we share a private thing that is only ours. For me, the hug means that we belong together. I like hugging a lot. Just sleep together or lay on the bed and hold each other in the arms.

Hug me please keep me warm hahaha, I just remember someone who asked me to hug him just a while ago before I see your post. Hugging is a wonderful feeling and must be given to each and everyone and right now I'm giving it you lols! When you hug a person you are showing how much you care, love and support that person through good times and bad times. Right now I wish to have somebody by my side to hug me tight and keep me warm all night...hmmm ;) really it is very cold. Wishful thinking... hahaha!

Yes,I agree a hug is a gift and a blessing to many.It is familiar from birth and hopeful to be continued throughout ones lifetime from those who care and have concern for others.Hugs have a tendency to brighten ones day.However,A hug that is asked for ,does not always seem genuine.It could be a persons way to only fulfill their need for affection and the giver can feel abandoned by this request.Hugs should be given freely without restraint and unconditionally.

I agree with all of what you have written here!
A hug makes you comfortable even if the hug is sometimes awkward.
It makes your day complete actually!
A hug can also mend differences between people.
That is why, I always use it when my hubby is angry with me
