I heard something I thought was disturbing.

I understand the majority of people on mylot would have no problem with Playboy. I have never seen one and never will. But when I hear that a particular woman has posed in Playboy I don't think much of it. I mean it's almost routine, even if you are famous for a bad reason (see Darva Conger - remember her?). However, I heard a woman who previously posed for Playboy say something that disturbed me. I didn't know until I heard her say it that she had even posed nude. She said when she was seven she found her dad's Playboy magazines in the garage. And when she was seven she decided her dream was to grow up and pose nude for Playboy. I'm sorry, what? Is that not messed up? That a seven year old would make that her whole goal in life? My mind just can't wrap around wanting that at the age of seven. What do you guys think? In the end she made the decision as an adult. But hearing her say that just seemed creepy.

Don't you like it is a dream come true for a young girl? She knows what she wants and she achieved it. Just kidding aside some stories are not true. sometimes they just put seasonings to make the food tastes better. However, considering that it was true and we know that in reality this happens it is really shocking to see a child reading such magazines and creating dreams on it. The male counterpart could have thought and done differently. Parents should be very careful when it comes to this kind of reading materials...Either hide, throw after reading, or never buy at all.

I think kids that age are always impressionable. I do not like that it became her goal in life, but at that age my daughter's goal in life was to be as tall as her daddy, and she also thought that she was fat thanks to me talking too much about my weight. We must be careful what we teach our children or what we model for them and that they want to emulate.

My sister does not and will not tolerate the word 'fat' being used around Amyra. And I think that is good. My mom was really thin, but she always talked about being fat. And I think that helped give me and my sister go down the road of low self-esteem. Because although we got heavier when we got older (my sister is now very slim), we were not overweight when swe started thinking we ourselves were heavy.

I hope she is just making that story up. Usually child that age dream to be a doctor, pilot, etc. but to be a playboy model there is really something twisted about that. Maybe her father used to compliment playboy models that is why she dreamed of being one when she was really young. Parents should really be conscious on what they say and how to act since kids really idolize them.

I think that this young gal might be looking at the female body and seeing beauty. She wants to capture that when she is older. She doesn't want it now although many perverted ole men would pay highly for it. She just sees beauty in the female body and wants be a part of it.

I would have hoped she would want to save the view of her own beauty for the man she chooses to let in her life. Not every man who wants to fantasize about her. But even if that is what she wants, it wouldn't be weird to me in today's society. But for the age of seven? She said she likes the idea of men wanting her. Well, she got in the right magazine then.

That is so creepy to know at age seven that is your life's goal. I would be sick in the stomach if that was what my daughter and she had decided this at such an age. You have to be so careful what you leave around or say when a child is in the house. They are sponges at that age and will learn so much, but they need to learn the right things, not the negative stuff.

Haha I think we no need to take is serious, the reason why that woman said that is because she want to be attracted by others. A seven years old girl make up such a life goal is totally impossible.

We cannot catch one's thought or read one's mind. I think you are living in America and there such things don't count much as the society ther is broad minded and an open one. Every body has their own dreams and living style and have their own means and modes of happiness. Let them live their's, you live your's. Don't disturb your's life for other's.

That's really creepy. When I was seven I haven't had any dreams. I remember what I liked the most at that time was learning English. I was amazed by the language and I really wanted to be able to speak English just like the "people" in movies. (I'm from Indonesia and 22 years ago, English wasn't really famous like today.)

As a mom of a daughter close to that age that is already showing concern with her image and self-confidence this is an issue that concerns me greatly. I agree with the creep-factor.
