Reminiscing childhood experience of learning cycle
January 29, 2013 7:57am CST
When I was in 1st standard, cycle racing took place. Cycle trials were being held for a place in final. That time I didn't know how to ride cycle. But I was shy telling this to teacher and she ordered me to participate in the trial. I was hoping that I would get a cycle supported by two small tyres sideways. But everything went awry and I got a cycle with no sideways tyres. When race begun, i was left stranded at the starting point and it was the most embarrassing moment for me. I took a plunge than and there only that right from that day I would learn cycling. There was a tall cycle of my brother at home and I started practicing on that. Whenever I fell from cycle, I had to put all my force to lift the cycle back on its tyre. It took me nearly two months to learn to ride bicycle and from that moment there was no stopping. I participated in the next year race and came first.
