question about mylot NUMBER next to my screen name

does the number (mine is 25 now) go up when you post new discussions, respond to different discusions, upload photos, or comment on people that responded to your discussions? please help me understand mylotters!

its the number of pics you upload, posts you respond to and the posts you make....
