Oldern discussions

Meanwhile I go through the discussions in mylot to see whether I post a comment too, I also have a look when the discussion has been started. Some of them are recent, but then I see that some of them were started already several month or even two or three years ago. When I see that, I wonder if I still should comment.
What about you, do you post on oldern discussions?

Personally since you still get paid from any of the discussions that you respond back here I have been known to respond back to older discussions started here. Especially if the person is still active in here. But really it is up to you, as there are a lot of great older discussions worth responding back too for sure.

Sometimes it's nice to remember an older discussion when suddently someone respondes to you.

Hello there ! If i am to be asked , i also loved to comment in old discussion because for me they are the quality ones because until now they are alive and active means that post have not violated any rules . So for sure if you will comment it will be earning and not by chance only , because sometimes we are not sure if the thing which we are commenting is a good kind or not , be deleted or not . So better to comment in old discussions.

On one side you are right. If a discussion is still alife after several months or years, it's still alife. On the other hand, every mylotter should know the rules, so we could be in conditions to recognize before answering a discussion if that one is or not against the rules. Of course, it's difficult to now if the discussion will be deletet or not, as the users don't take that desicion. But the knowledge about the rules can help us to take a better desicion whether to answer or not. This way, we reduce the risks. Answering an oldern discussion, we also have to check it the mylotter who started it is still active or not.

I sometimes go back to old discussions and mark best response and make a comment to some of them.
But it is good to check if the person we answer is still here. Many have quit due to one reason or other, so if there is no profile page, our response will probably not reach them.

Of course, we can check first if the owner (starter) of the discussion is still active, which would be the best situation, it's a good idea. On the other side, even if the mentioned mylotter is not active any more, I suppose that even other mylotters may still follow this discussion.

I most definitely will respond to older discussions, as long as they are interesting, and I have something to say. We get paid for what we do, so why not, and besides, that is a good way to revive them again, even though they have been resolved, they are still considered open, as no discussions are closed. A while back i had someone respond to a discssion of mine that is thre years old, and I was surprised, as I didn't think I would get anymore, so you see, it really doesn't mater how old they are, as long as they are interesting enough to respond to, then go ahead and respond. With the time, mylot is getting more and more new users. Maybe writing this discussion today may be read by a user who will start using this page within five years. For that person, this discussion will be new and might be interesting for him or her. We never can know who will read it and when.

Yes, I do. When I find that the discussion is interesting enough, I do respond to them. I also read the comments of other members and learn from them.

for me,i will never think twice when i will comment in an old discussion,i always response and comment to old discussions and the oldest discussion i have commented is 5 years of old,aside from that i will not be afraid that my response will be deleted too.

You are right, if we think about that our response might be deleted or that a discussion is already to old, we would leave many response as never posted. Deleted responses can be avoid in many times posting well and knowing the rules of mylot. Do you have still recieved a response on your post in the oldern discussion?
