Earning with Blog!

Hello!
I am new to blogging, and I just want to start my first blog. I was told you can earn money while blogging, but I don't know how I can do it. I will like people with experience in blogging to help me. Many people talk about adds, but I don't understand the use or how it works. Please, I am looking forward to helpful advices. Also, if there are other online earning site, I will like to know.
Also, I am contemplating on either having a content blog or a forum. I will like to venture in both later, but I will like you to give me helpful tip on both.

Hello, I have been a blogger and yes "in time" and never immediately.
So my advice is to keep focus. And do 1 step at a time. WHY?
The first time I learned about money from blogging, i've done research and a lot of research i may say.
I've tried seeking for best topics, way to get traffics, way to design blogsites, then i've found other ways to make money, all kinds of them then more and more and each day my interest shifts from one to another.
In short, my attention diverted from "blogging/writing" to learning other more.
So what to do? Create a blog first. Blogger/Blogspot is the most-friendly user.
Then, immediately write. Once,Twice or more daily. Yep, try to write daily and if you can't then cope up the next days.
Please don't feel bad when people say , "you can't make money unless you have traffic"..(visitors)
Tell you, if you won't start as early as now, then when will your blog be a stable one that would gain visitors/traffic in the future right?
I know even the most popular sites started with no visitors at all. But in time with good and useful contents, they've become popular. :)
