Hey mylotters! I know you are aware of that statement, but I am just curious to hear stories of those married couples here in mylot with their experiences when they turned to age 40, does you life changes? I learned some of a person shared their stories when they reached or when their partners reached the age of 40. Some of them said that there are minor changes when it comes to grooming, likes and interest. How about you guys? Is there any scientific explanation with this changes?

It could be 40 for and and 50 for your friends and 60 for someone else. Life never starts at a particular age. It start when you feel that you have learnt how to live it. Age really does not matter a lot. You can live your life at 5 and 105 as well. The only thing which matters is the art of living it.

I always heard the saying went like this life begins @ 50. Tho i am now going to be 41 my life didn't change much at all except for a few gray hairs and i am trying to keep my young look by using moisturizers and things on my face and body. For hubby it was him going bald other than that his life didn't change much either. He did tho let his hair grow kind of long and then a few months later got it cut saying his mid life crisis was over, but i think that was a joke. Life doesn't change much for anyone at 40 i don't think. I guess it depends on the person and how they see themselves at 40 and how they see life at 40 and how they take turning 40 . I did nothing for a party or anything with friends for my 40th because i thought i'd curl up into a ball on the floor and cry about mid life crisis and being old. Tho that never happened. I just turned 40 got a few more gray hairs and use moisturizers on my skin for it is drying out a bit and that's all that changed with me.

I think that it is very easy to tell stories about those lucky people who are in love with their family members. And these people who did not find their love in their marriage are different one from another. We have the same situation. I am in love with my husband. So, what could be more said?

I am in my late twenties and my husband is turning 40 soon. He is still the same OC guy that I have met that is so keen on keeping his hands clean and always wanting to change the bedsheets regularly. I am happy that he is still not letting himself off just because he's older and we've been married for quite some time. I know I am bound to see more change in a few more years but until then I will enjoy "bearing" this old man's OC-ness.
