New mattress delivered today

I decided that after over 25 years, it was time to get a new mattress. There were about five years along the way when it wasn't used much since when I was married, we got a new mattress and mine was put in the guest room. I have never been a good sleeper and I realized that I slept best when I was married and had always thought that it was because I was married and had that relationship going. But it occurred to me as I was walking out of the store after buying the mattress that maybe I slept better when I was married not because I was married but because I was sleeping on a different mattress. I sleep on my side and these days it is recommended that you sleep on a soft mattress if you sleep on your side. Well my old mattress is very firm and that could be why I didn't sleep well. So starting tonight I will begin to find out if I sleep better with a little softer mattress.
