Do You Think This Can Make The Philippine Teachers Happy?

As we all know that Philippine elections is coming in and political campaign is just doing their start up moves this time, advertising,printing and posting their paraphernalia on public spots and other areas. Teachers is a great help during election day specially in counting votes of the people. Commissioner Brillantes said that this year teachers honorarium will be given using the fastest technology and of course no other than ATM cards. Brilliantes already has an agreement on LandBank of the Philippines to send out the funds amounting Php. 4000.000. So to prevent the problems the Commission on Election will going to send this and will handing ATM card to all teachers that are part of the said election. They will not use any other people and any other staff cause they may cause that the right money for teachers will be given to a wrong person causing thousands of teachers never receive their honorarium last year. I think that this move is very wise but still who knows another problem may create its like happening on FOR PEACE where there are thousands of members whom never receive their funds every quarter which is quite awful the corruption is a huge hindrance while the projects and the right program always not put into right person, right place at the right time. Do you think this action can make the Teachers happy? Share your views.

I just hope that this time, they would really get the said honorarium due them.We all knew that in the past this is not so, many have complained that they have received their payment late and sometimes less than the agreed amount.Let's just hope that this time they make it right.

My mom is a public school teacher and has been serving during elections for so many years. And we are not happy with it. It doesn't even begin to pay all the hardships and troubles that our mother has to bear. We have been convincing her not to sit again in the coming elections. I have seen first hand how my mother has to deal with all sorts of troubles that elections bring, and where's the comelec during the times that they are actually needed where everything is happening? I know where but I don't want to sound so bitter so I will just leave it at that. 
Even if they double or triple that money, it will never be worth the trouble, the pain,and in some other cases, the very lives of the teachers. Ever wonder why can't COMELEC staffs themselves do the duties of the teachers during elections?

I understand what you are trying to say and I think what you said lastly seems a nice move right? Why they can serve the elections rather than use the teacher where in fact they are teachers they aren't part of the election. They should add more of their staff so that they can accommodate all areas in the Philippines during the elections in that way no teachers will harmed or face a pain during that day. Thats makes sense.

This will be a happy news for all the teachers who will be assisting on this coming election, arviez.
At least, they can now be assured that they can surely get their honorarium on time and in complete amount.
But they should also be assured of their safety and security when the counting begins, since in some places it becomes dangerous. I hope the COMELEC will also make a move to assure them of this.

Hi Dina you are right I hope that Comelec should really give them enough security cause what they are doing is not that easy.
