http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2240075/Now-sick-babies-death-pathway-Doctors-haunting-testimony-reveals-children-end-life-plan.html Liverpool Care Pathway is a system developed in 1990s, for terminally ill patients. The purpose of course, was to provide the best care for those coming to the end of their lives. Unfortunately, the LCP system has morphed over time. Now, it includes anyone "deemed" to be dying. Further, the government strapped for cash, has introduced "targets". A "target" number of patients killed off by the system. Now, I should stress, the LCP system does not euthanize. They are not directly causing the death of patients. But what they do is by placing them on the LCP path, they are no longer treated with care, with the intention of trying to save their lives. Which of course means, they will eventually die, regardless of whether they may have been saved. Why would they do this? Because saving someone's life is costly. And in a socialized system, the government doesn't have endless funds. Now sick babies go on death pathway: Doctor's haunting testimony reveals how children are put on end-of-life plan Practice of withdrawing food and fluid by tube being used on young patients Doctor admits starving and dehydrating ten babies to death in neonatal unit Liverpool Care Pathway subject of independent inquiry ordered by ministers Investigation, including child patients, will look at whether cash payments to hospitals to hit death pathway targets have influenced doctors' decisions Now, they are killing off the neonatal babies. Why? Neonatal care is extremely expensive. In a socialized system, where government is supposed to pay the bill... but can't..... It's cheaper to kill them. Welcome to socialized medicine.

Personally anyone who sees this new Obama Health Care as good, better always be Healthy as all the changes I continue to see due to just the medical issues that I have, things are scary, and it makes me wonder if a patient really ever has any say or control on anything unless they themselves have money to pay for things. This is only something we will continue to see more and more, and people who are raving things are great, I wonder what their thoughts will be in a yr. or two.
