Rosa Parks Statue

A Rosa Parks statue was unveiled during Black History Month. It is so wonderful to see her recognized like this. I have always thought that she was one of the most powerful women in the civil rights movement. She is someone I find very inspirational. She literally sat down and stood up for herself. This was monumental in giving people the courage to do the same. Whenever I think about a brave woman saying no to a system of oppression physically and verbally, she is one of those I think of most. Black History is part of world history , and I am sure Rosa Parks can inspire women all around the world.
