Seeing your picture of balut, make me feel like not eating it anymore. You see, i like eating balut. However, i don't like to see it in whole like that. When i eat it, i superficially take a look of it. I just gobble it up and relish its delicious taste.

I like balut but not the chick. I don't eat it, just the yellow and white part.

I have tried balut. i never ate any chick inside balut as i do not think i will like it. Most of the time when I eat balut i will just sip the soup inside and eat the yellow part and just give the chick to my dog. hehe ;) my shih tzus love balut and when they hear the man selling shouts "balut" they will bark as if telling us to go ahead and buy baluts for them hehe :D

I eat balut. . . yolk, chick and everything(except the shell, of course, lol). But, I'm not so fond of eating it, though. I have nothing against the taste. It's like eating a durian, you have to tolerate the odor in order to eat the delicious pulp. Actually, I recently ingested one a few days ago. Friends told me that balut could strengthen your knee, if you know what I mean. I don't know if it's just a coincidence but it did work wonders for me when I was with my better half. Whatever's the truth behind that claim, I wouldn't eat balut on a daily basis. I would only eat it if I hadn't had one for a long time. Take for instance, I would work outside the country for a couple of years. When I get back of the country, I would definitely have a mouthful of balut.

Your picture is pretty creepy actually. Eventhough I am a pinoy, I am not a fan of eating such balut right now, maybe I am just scared or grossed on its taste. But anyway, many find it very delicious.

I don't eat balut. I am squeamish. Even though manong vendor would insist that the chick is so small and it is "balut sa putt" (covered with the egg white), I still don't eat it. I do like to sip the little juice that comes after breaking the shell, and I eat the yolk part. But I let my dad, or any of my uncles have the white and chick.
