how to encourage people

I have this situation, that sometimes I want to encourage people who feel very down and hopeless. bcoz I feel like God surrounded my with people who really want to put their selves down...

just ell your friends that whatever happens you will be beside them. in happiness and in sadness. and you SHOULD MEAN it. and that would encourage them and boost their confidence they will feel likke there is somebody to care for em and it will boos there confidence!
