It is very interesting story of Buddha. Buddha was wondering one village to another. After hearing of his glory and fame one old woman came to meet him. She was crying. Her son was died in the morning. She said to Buddha to make her son alive. Buddha said to woman that he would made her son alive if she brought some oil from the house where no one was died. That women started finding with the hope. But she got no such house. Then she realized that the world is filled up with sorrows and we have accept it. If you want happiness in future we have to accept sorrows. thus life is filled up with happiness and sorrows. We have to accept it without complaining.

Complaining doesn't do a person any good. Happiness does come from accepting and making the best out of life as it is. Noting making something different out of it. Life is what you make it and that can either be happy or sad.

this is a nice story. Sometimes to be able to accept failures, miseries and sorrows we need to see that others had suffered or suffering from it too.

Hi, Sometimes we get frustrated by our sorrows and miseries. But if we see around us there are many people who are more sad than us. We should try to make them happy and thus we can also be happy by seeing their happy faces. We have to accept facts of life. Thank you for the response.

not just sometimes Roshigo.. we get frustrated and that's it, it is human. It is normal to get frustration otherwise we will not strive to succeed if we don't. However, dwelling too much on it well it is a different story.

Wow, what a great thought from Buddha. Yeah, I agree with him. We must admit that happiness and sorrow are package. For us to be able to appreciate our happiness, we should also experience how to be in pain.Life is like a wheel and we must admit that truth.

Hi, you are right. Happiness doesn't mean absence of problems. We have face many problems and we get solution to all problems. We can not avoid them. We have to solve them. And at the end we can get solution and also happiness. Thank you for the response.

By this story we learn that nothing is eternal in this world. After the happiest moment sorrow will remain no far away to show the dark and cruel side of life. We, human beings expect and enjoy the moment which we preplaned, if we get what we want we enjoy the life and become happy. But it is not always possible. Most of the time nature plays her own role. We lost our beloved one, feel finished ourselves. A man who has realised this TRUTH stay calm always in his heart and mind and never forget his duty, is a great man, A Bodhi, gets Nirbana.
