How would they know?

Okay, so I am watching this ridiculously morbid yet funny show called 1000 Ways to die. There is this drunken guy driving and drinking liquoor from a bottle at the same time and plows into a line of cars stopped at a light. He was pronounced dead and his organs were harvested because he was to be an organ donor. Here's the rub. The man wasn't dead! His brain activity was not able to be detected, but he was fully aware of his chest being cut open and he watched as his heart was cut out of his chest. My question is: how did they discover he was aware if he was confirmed dead enough to take his heart out of his body and harvest it? I'm sure it's not based on reality though they say it is. Google didn't support that these episodes were total truth. If someone looks dead and technology confirms there is no life signs then how would the docs discover they actually killed a person to take their organs? It doesn't quite make sense.

Yeah. They are made up. Some may be plausible and some are just ridiculous.

Your right, as some seem really out of this world to me.

I have seen this show many times, it is pretty funny. But I always ask how would they know, but there has to be a way, or maybe it's just something that is made up.

Yes. I think this storyline is made up. There are some real ones where someone was almost killed.

oh i dont watch that show as i dont like pain, even for someone else. my kids say i think to much about dieing as it is. thats one reason im worried to have put donor on my liscense. as ive heard they have to remove things while you are still alive of course and i dont want to be feeling pain when i cant say it hurts. thats just creepy to me i would have nightmares if i watched that show.

T.V. programs push the limit. I know I watched a man whose hand was suppose to be severed. He saved it and had it sewn back on and was able to use it like normal. I just had the end of my finger cut to the bone and sewed back on but now that part of the finger feels rather numb. Wouldn't this man's heart be beating if he were still alive enough to keep his brain working.?
