How often do you go see a movie in theaters? I am a huge movie lover. I don’t get to see many movies in the theater though because of the cost. Where I live it is close to $13 for one ticket. This does not include food or drinks. I usually rent from redbox or watch a movie on Netflix. I would love to watch a movie in the theaters, and I am planning to soon. I just wish I could afford it more often. Do you think that the price is fair to consumers?

OMG that is outrageous price for a movie. Where I live the most is seven dollars and fifty cents at matinee showing for a 3D movie otherwise its six dollars. I know alot of places have them ten or more for evening showings. I just think its to much for a movie. That is why I'm so happy that I have netflix and the APPLE TV. Where I see any movie I want new or old.

I also have Netflix and I rent from Red Box a lot. Yeah, years ago the price was only about 6 or 7 dollars. It has went way up recently.

My husband, my son and I are movie lovers. We can watch 4 movies in the cinema in a day. We have done it three times... However, we normally go for premier and it it free. Have to join contest to win it. Sometimes they provides popcorn and drinks too! Lately I watched 'Cloud Atlas' and it cost us RM11.00 (USD3.70) per ticket. On Wednesday it is cheaper. They also have students and senior citizens price. Only applicable for weekdays and movies before 6pm I think.

I usually go to the theater on weekends when it is cheaper and i went yesterday for the first time in a couple months. I used to go all the time like every week but now that i'm unemployed and all hubby's paychecks got o the bills it's harder to go. We do however tho watch movies on demand on cable rent for red box and watch on net flix. I think the price of a movie ticket is outrageous. It keeps going up and up and soon most people wont be able yo afford to go to the movies. Tho in my area if you go to the movies on a weekend before noon it is like only 5 dollars.

Yeah, I would go more often if they weren't so expensive. I plan on treating myself to a movie in the theater soon though. It does help that I can earn a movie ticket online through a program. This will help with the cost. Even if I have to buy food/popcorn and drinks, it will still be cheaper. I guess I just don't like to pay that much for a movie I will only see one time.

I don't go to cinemas that often. I like movies, but they are really expensive (cheaper in my area, but my country is notorious for having really low wages), and I don't cherish the movie experience that much to shell out that much for a ticket, when I can watch it at home, with almost the same experience. But I like to go to the movies every once in a while, like 1-2 times a year (if I don't win on giveaways).

I was a movie fan before during those days I was not very busy. I used to watch at least two movies every week depending on my preferences whether I liked it or not. But since technology had introduced me to the world of Cd's and DVDs, I do most of my watching at home. I find it more comfortable than going to movie theaters. But sometimes when I miss the experience of seeing a movie house, I still find time watching a good movie in a big screen.

On the average, i go see a movie at an average of twice a month. =) Depends primarily on the number of good movies to watch so i schedule when and where i would watch movies. =)

I don't often go to the cinema to watch a movie. Since today it is expensive to buy the movie ticket. Try to imagine if you go to watch a movie with a family, the cost shall be worthy to a nice dinner. So we will go to watch the movies when it is worthy. Last time we watch the Life of Pie but we felt disappointed to it.

The last time I watched a movie was last year, July 14th. That time, the ticket at the movie theater we went to was only 110 pesos. My sister said, the movie theater was renovated and they added 20 pesos to the ticket price. I guess this price is reasonable but the fare going there, the food and drinks will cost us a lot. I also want to bring my son to the movie theater a lot so that he will enjoy his childhood but he said he doesn't like watching movies at the movie theater. The last time I went to the movies was his first time. He was disappointed because we could hardly hear the voices of Ice Age 4 characters. That time, the sound wasn't so loud for us to hear what the characters were saying. We just enjoy watching movies at home. My husband doesn't want to watch movies at the theater, too. LOL.

I don't always watch a movie in the theater. That's because as you said it's costly. You have to pay for the movie, the foods and the drinks. Though, if i like the movie so much and my friends are asking if i want to go with them, i do so. But that's only for my super duper liked movie.

Actually I see nearly 3 movies every week in Youtube but i see only 1 movie per month in the theater with my friends because i am always busy with my work. In india, the movie ticket costs only less than $1. If you want to purchase some snacks items, ice creams, coffee/tea, pop corn etc, you will hardly need an another $1 This is really very cheap for us. You can eat a lot and watch a movie with such less money. :)

Being a college student without time to find a job, I can't afford going to movies as often as I would like to, so I have no choice but to watch it on my computer, what a shame, the feeling is different from watching it in theaters. However, there's a cinema near the place I live, and on Wednesday students can buy tickets cheaper, so I'm trying to go then whenever I have some spare money in my wallet.
