A-LI-CE,this is what my English professor told us about ALICE,to avoid having wrong spelling such as the word BELIEVE,RECEIVE,RELIEF etc. because when i was in college my English professor noticed that most of us had a wrong spelling in this words, and she said that we should always remember ALICE to know the right spelling,as you can see the word believe.L always follow by I and C always follow by E.

I've never heard that before. It was always "I before E, except after C". At least, that's how my English teacher taught me and its how I remember. I'll use the ALICE as a way to teach my kids when they need a way to remember. Its funny how things get stuck in our brains if we're taught early enough.

That seems like a pretty neat trick to remember how to spell some words. I like this. I sometimes get confused when spelling believe or receive. Thank for this trick.

I always remember ALICE when I get stumbled on what words with "ie" and "ei". Yes, it was also out English teacher who taught us that if we get confused on what should be next to L or C, all we need to do is to remember ALICE. L should be followed by I (thus it is spelled as believe and not beleive) and C should be followed by ei (thus it is spelled as receive and not recieve). It's fantastic how a simple word like ALICE becomes a very helpful word in our writing.
