He had lost both his legs in an accident. He had a make shift cart in which he was sitting and selling lottery tickets.Usually I never take a lottery ticket, but seeing his condition,I decided to take one for myself. He smiled at me and asked me which one I would like to take,I replied that anything he chooses,I will be taking. While getting the ticket,I asked him how he could be smiling when he had lost both his legs.He replied that he was grateful to God that his life was spared, and for the lottery agent job that helped him to earn a livelihood.I felt ashamed of myself for grumbling, when there is a slight delay in getting my personal whims and fancies.I also felt bad for taking granted all the mercies that I enjoy without thanking my maker. The lottery agent was happy with his situation which taught to be more happy for all good things that I enjoy.

Hi, It is very touching story. Disabled person have powerful mind. They try to live their life fully with whatever they have. The person in your story is happy and no complaint with his life. My wife is also disabled but she tries to live happily as far as possible. For some days she become emotional as we have shifted to our new house and take some time to adjust in this house. But now she is becoming alright and happy. She keeps herself busy in online and data entry jobs and earn some money. She allows me to go out for job and tries to live her without giving trouble to me and my son. We should thank God we have normal and healthy life.

Tell her that I think she is a real brave person to take her life as it came. The Almighty will definitely guide her in her situation.

It Helps to read stories like this to keep on reminding us we complain to God more than we thank Him.

If you smile to life, then it will smile to you! There are many things in our life that we didn't treasure untill losed......i know we should be thankful cherish to our life,do our best and not make it regretful. And we shouldn't grumbling, becouse there are so many people in the world whom are working harder and harder than we!
