but i just postponed it because of the lack of time and the lack of money. although i would want to go on a short trip which is less than a day. but i feel like i just save my money and that i should not just spend it. i do need to think of more important thing. but they would understand if we would not go to the trip any time soon. i would just tell them we just enjoy ourselves going around some near place where we don't need to spend more money and where we don't need to spend a lot of time just to travel .

Hi,
You have taken right decision. If you want to save money you have to cut some expenses. Traveling is just for fun and wasting time and money. If you have enough money to spend then you can enjoy the picnic. you can have fun with many things like going for walking and chatting with friends, listening music or reading some books etc which need no money.
