Last night I received two calls like this?

Hi mylot friend,
Yesterday night I have received two immediate calls with a minute difference to me, but no voice is there in their calls and when I checked the numbers the number also Amazing , those numbers are like this the first number was + 381 and second number is + 401. I have astonished after seeing these numbers, how I got the call from these two numbers from where the call send to me? Can any body know about this if yes please share your experience in mylot.

Thanks for the response and participating in my discussion, may be you are right. First I have astonished to see the number, till those numbers are recorded in my cell phone until I delete them they will be in he phone. If it is intentional call some other thing once I have received one or two international calls long back but their number are different, have a nice day.

Maybe its just some promotional or marketing calls. I used to receive calls like that. It's an automated and recorded call that has been programmed into their system. And all you have to do is listen to them and punch the numbers if you like to avail their promotions. Good thing my phone have an application that can block calls from numbers. After 2 calls from that same number, I blocked it.

Thanks for the response and participating in my discussion, may be you are right I think. First time I have received these two calls in my 7 years use of Cell phone. I think if I receive any international call the the number may be different and we can know easily about that it is international call, have a nice day.

HI Friend,
Thanks for the response and participating in my discussion, most of the mylot friends expressed the same thing that these are some promotional calls. Regularly I too receive promotional calls from two service providers those are Airtel and Vodafone, these two providers promotional calls with two prefixes with their number. If I see these numbers I can recognise the call is from the serive providers.

Sometimes these calls could be from overseas and sometimes there are chances that they are recieved through net calling apps like skype. But it is always better to be careful while attending to these calls as I have heard that there are people who have lost some money in their balance which gets transferred to another number after picking up calls from unknown numbers.

Thanks for the response and participating in my discussion, you are right that some body expressed the same that they calls are from overseas. But there is no such clue when we see those numbers, nothing to worry I am having below 2 dollars amount in my phone, so this is very very less amount. I have a nice day.

You are right. Sad thing is that many times we are pushed to such a situation, even without our knowledge. I have heard from two of my friends who lost their talk balance this way.

I agree with you some times these calls could come from numbers of promotional sites where you have given your number for the sake of fun. These callers use to make pay by called number just like POD it's better known Paid by called party. If you pick the number you pay @ ISD charges.

As a telecom professional the code 381 is that of Serbia and 401 is that of Rhode Island. I am not sure why did you receive calls from these countries nless you have friends there who wanted to talk to you. You should check full details from your service provider.

But I heard about these two countries, and I do not know about the friends in this countries. Thanks for the response and friendship request, I have accepted the your friendship request immediately. You may be right, but first time in my all these 7 years service with Cell phone I got two such calls, after that no call from them. How it is possible to call like that with only three numbers and one symbol, have a nice day.

it is done on a random call they have most of the number then the missing number is put in by a person then the time it takes to get the person though the system to talking to you but it was odd that you got two calls in a row good luck and lets hope that is the last of it

I get calls from telemarketers, and basically, they will etierh try to get me to buy something, or the phone will ring, and when I accept the call and say hello, they hang up on me. i don't need those kind of calls at all. i have a really nice call blocker on my phone, that now when they call me, it is rejected, and they can't leave a voice mail either, which is good, as I am not interested in talking to any of them. It did cost for the call blocker, and I paid it, and boy is it worth every penny. I can even do a reverse look up of any number that is on the call blocker, and it will let me know who it is, an where they are calling from. you would think after awhile of getting rejected, they would stop calling,but I have one company, that keeps changing its number, so I don[t know who they are. once i find out who they are, then that number goes on the call blocker as well. i just don't need people bothering me. I hope that one of these days, they will get the hint and stop calling. Take care, and have a very good day.

Thanks for the response and participating in my discussion, I too get calls from Tele marketers and from the service providers. I am using dual sim cell phone, so I am getting promotional calls from the service providers, if the call is comming from the service provider there must be 11 degit will appear before the number. Then I can know that it is from the service provider, have a nice day.
