i don't know why lately i can have enough sleep for just 5 hours or just 4 hours sometimes and i don't feel like tired or want to sleep more. usually i am a person that requires 8 hours of sleep most of the time. but i do feel that 4 hours of sleep should be enough form e specially i do feel strong already . maybe because i eat something at night like fish or meat. because there is some meat last night, but i would stop eating meat again since we are out of meat already. it was just few amount of meat brought to us by our relative when they came here for a visit. was just good enough for one meal for me. anyway, whatever the cause of less sleep, i just like the fact i feel more energetic and not that sleepy all the time.

I am the same way I can go to bed and only get a few hours of sleep and I can go many hours and not be tired then I will have to take a fast nap or just close my eyes for about 30 minutes and then I am off and running

lucky you. maybe i have done something right lately on my lifestyle like the way i eat that is why i have more energy. maybe because i have cut down on sugar intake which cause a surge of energy at the start but would make you feel drained of energy towards the end.

It sounds like you might be getting used to sleeping shortly if you're able to get up without any problems. Perhaps you are also consuming other things throughout the day that are giving you more energy, these would usually be things that are high in carbohydrates, calories and perhaps greater intakes of caffeine.

I quite envy you, I'd like to sleep only 5 hours without any problems. But I can't force myself to get out of bed that early. There was a time when I was able to sleep only 7 hours easily but then I got used to sleeping longer again. I think for me it's just a matter of habit.

Maybe your body doesn't need that much sleep lately. Sometimes, whenever I oversleep, I would feel even more tired. Don't force yourself if you think you can't sleep anymore. Wait it out for a couple of days and see if your normal sleeping hours will be back. As long as your health isn't affected, then you should be fine.

Well, it sounds like your body is going through some changes, but it seems to work out better for you. I wish I could only get a few hours of sleep and be energetic. I have the opposite problem, where I sleep for 10 freaking hours and the day is wasted.

as long as it would work out for the better then i won't mind sleeping less. i do wonder why some people who is at work and have to sleep less can do their work and still live normally. like those who are in medicine profession like doctors.
