I wasn't embarrassed at all! I fell on my knees while walking on the busy street of Central Bangkok when i tripped, twisted my left ankle, lost my balance, and fell on my knees. I stood up immediately, not wanting anybody to help me as if nothing had happened at all. Nobody knows me here anyway. Why should i be embarrassed? And it was an accident. I stood up, regained my poise and walked like a model like i always do hahaha! Yep, this is me, simply me! Anything happened to you like this?

Your story reminds me of a little accident that was exactly the same as you experienced. I was walking hurriedly and IT stumbled on a raised level of a floor.Luckily no one saw me fall off.

I fell on my butt last year when I was out for dinner with my boyfriend. He had warned me cos the day was rain and my sandals was slippery. I ran into the mall and when I stepped on the tiles floor I fell down, on my butt. I was not embarassaed though some people staring and laughing, I don't care. As you say, nobody knows me here since I am a newcomer in this city But after back from dinner my boyfriend asked me to not wear that slippery sandals anymore

Thanks for sharing that moment. Falling on your butt is much better because we have a lot of fat stored in there to protect us from serious injury. Charged to experience. And good that your boyfriend was there with you to help you.

I guess we just cannot avoid from having some embarrassing moment in our lives. There is no problem with that. We did make someone's day brighter by making them laugh. It should be a good thing isn't it. I did fall on my butt once when I was in high school. I was rushing to my class as I was late. It was raining and because of the tile flooring which makes it so slippery and I couldn't help but to fall on my butt. There was a young female teacher at the scene. She laughed and teased me.

It was such a pity that you tripped over whilst walking around Bangkok. It was an accident that could not be avoided. It was lucky you were able to stand up and walk away. In Malaysia on a dark evening I fell down a drain and badly hurt my leg. I came home from that trip on crutches. It happened in the last month of my trip around the world. I had torn the ligament in my leg. Years later I had an student interview at the University of Wales. After that I was walking around the town and I fell over a double step on the pavement. I fell and put down my left wrist. I broke a bone in that wrist. It was annoying being at that time when I was busy with exams in my home area. On a positive note I did get into that university to do my degree and teacher training.

Ouch! That's really ouch. Something that i hope won't ever happen to me being in a foreign place. Accidents do happen whether we try to be careful or not. Hope nothing more serious would befall you. Take care.

Seems like you had quite a few bad falls in the past. It is not about feeling embarrassed or what. But perhaps you should be more careful in walking as people don't usually fall that much and it really hurts your body a lot. Fortunately, nothing has been so severe to be life threatening at this moment. Just be more cautious in the future okay?

Hi Toni, I hope you did not get hurt. I ran into a wall once when I was not looking. Running into a wall hurt a bit, but I am more careful now.

It's a good thing Toni that your ankle wasn't sprained. At least, you get to get up quickly as if nothing happened. Well, that also happened to me , maybe for 3x already, in my entire career. Accidents indeed happens specially when you are in your heels and a small stone caused you to trip. Just like you, i stood up immediately and never bothered to look around as to who has seen me fall.

There were only two people i saw approaching me when i had that accident. A man and a woman, but i'm pretty sure there were a lot of people behind me. I saw the man staring at me when i had the fall, but i really didn't care hahaha! I was too preoccupied to find the building rather than being embarrassed.

Well in my country (Italy), I have to say that sometimes, but very rarely, even to me happened to falling over and crashing. However, contrary to what happened to you, to me approached the people trying to help me get up. However, I do not understand why in your case no one came to the rescue, plus you're a woman! Well, maybe it was an unfortunate circumstance where nobody was willing to help? But, nevertheless, it seems very strange. However, a saying "All is well, that ends well" The important thing is that you did not you hurt.

Yes, several times. When I was running early in the morning few months ago, I fell into the ground and it was painful, especially at the knees and the hands. I weigh 94 kg, then you can imagine such a body falling on the ground. Just need to bump into a small mound and you'll fall. Well, I hope you were not get hurt. Take care by walking. :)

Are you okay? I hope you didn't get hurt too bad. That's a cool way of handling an embarrassing fall. Unfortunately for me, I don't think I will be able to stand up that fast after a fall. I think I would take a while because that would definitely shock me, but not long enough to wait for someone to help me.

One time i was walking alongside a lot of people and then i slipped and rolled forward but fell on my two feet, it was so cool i felt so awesome about myself but then i realized it was really weird if you think about it but then cant deny it, it was pretty cool like i was doing a somersault in a stunt movie.

one of my most embarrassing moment is when I came from the mall to meet some friends. i'm on my way home already when suddenly it rained so hard... so I waited a bit for the rain to stop. when the rain already stopped I decided to walk out of the mall to find a cab. when all of a sudden i slipped and my jeans ripped behind because of the impact. good thing the cab is already in front of me waiting for me to get it... arrrggghhh and the mall is in my area so probably some of the people who witnessed my little amateur tumbling is one of my neighbor... sheezz

I slipped at the corner of our street when my son and I were going to the bakery o buy bread at 5:30 am. Good thing I was holding on his arm while walking or I would surely have broken my hip. But I did fell on my knee which had eventually got wounded.

Yeah. I remember back when I was in grade 3. I was walking and as I watch my schoolmates I don't know how I fell on my knees. Seems like I am dreaming awake and walking.

Liked the way you handle unexpected moments. I don't really fell on my knees that much as I am always wearing this sport shoes kind of shoes which is quite good at mobile. Though my last shoes I wore for quite a long time and the bottom of the shoes got so slippery which once in a shopping mall I almost slipped and fell down right after I step out from the elevator. I bet someone saw it but I did not fell down as I am good at keeping the balance.

I rarely get into an accident. I couldn't even remember that last time i had one before this. It's not that i'm a careful person, but accident is something that rarely comes near me. I think at that time i was just not paying attention to where i was walking at. Being unfamiliar with the place and was busy searching for the building and talking to my friend on my phone made me missed that broken pavement.

Haha.Yeah, your right. You still had a poised after that and it's good. Yeah, I had also an embarrassing accident. It was when I rode in a Jeep going for work. As I rode in the front of Jeep near to the seat of the driver, I was being slipped when I was about to step in. The jeep was being crowded that time but who cares I just sit as nothing happens. haha

Yeah who cares! That should be the attitude. I really didn't care much of what they might think. Besides i was preoccupied with my mission that day and that is to find the BB building which i did successfully after that hard fall.

Were you hurt? Hope you are alright. I did face this kind of situation before when there are people around me. I tried to stand up on my own quickly and walk like i wasn't hurt, but actually it really hurts. But when people asked me am i alright, i usually hide my pain, because i feel embarrassed.

I have very high tolerance for pain that's why i was able to bear mine. Besides i was very preoccupied of finding the building. But on my way home i finally felt the pain. My knees are still black and blue but no more pain.

Knees are still black and blue, but other than that i'm ok. Didn't have the time to feel embarrassed. I even told friends and acquaintances about it. I think it's a good thing to laugh about it rather than be embarrassed.
