I thought it was a mistake for Dylan to move his father to GC

I really thought it would be bad for Dylan's father to be moved to GC back a few episodes when he decided to do it. With his father as sick as he was, I just don't understand how Dylan couldn't see that moving him would be stressful and be bad for his health. Well sure enough only a few days after arriving in GC, he has died. And couldn't even reach Dylan at for awhile. He was helping Chelsea but I don't know why his phone would have been off.
