Recently I was surpeised to hear that grapefruit was not a good fruit to eat. It can do harm. From what I heard, grapefruit can interfere with certain medications. Has anyone heard of this problem? Someone gave my husbsnd and me a whole bag of grapefruits that they had groew in their backyard.

Yes, there are medications you can't take with grapefruits. If you are not on medications you can drink all the grapefruit juice or eat all the grapefruits you wish. If you are taking medications I'm sure the doctor or pharmacy can tell you if you can eat or drink grapefruits. I just got a bag of organic grapefruits from a tree here in Puerto Rico and I took the majority of them and juiced them. Now I have over a gallon of pure organic grapefruit juice that is delicious. I'm just glad I'm not on any type of medication.

I'm glad for you. I do not know which medication can cause this bad effects from grapefruit. I'll have to ask my doctor .

I never heard about this, is this true? I love grape and always have grape with me if I want to go to a cinema. It's true, grape is my "pop corn" when I go to cinema/movie. Well if it's true I am not too worry since I don't have medication on going

In some cases yes, i have read a news before that grapefruits can trigger overdoses in dozens of medicines, but i don't remember anymore the details, maybe i guess it is better to search the internet about grapefruits, i'm sure there's a lot of info on the net.
