Today we have sport day

your sport day sounded fun. doing what we like for a day or knowing something new for us always sounds good for me. outdoor games and activities bring out the best in people. they become friendly and understanding and more open. they smile a lot and become more accommodating to people of other ethnic or religious groups.

I guess our schools here call this a "Field Day". I think when I was in school, many years ago, we did not do this. I also know that when my husband was in another country a long time ago, the communities would get out and do a community walk or hike, so that was like this as well. Here, we would not have skiing, as we have snow sometimes but not always and no hills or mountains. On some of the days when we do have a lot of snow families and children take sleds and go sledding. I have participated as a teacher's assistant with activity days for little kids, 4 years old, going to a college and the students had fun things for them. I liked the huge "beach ball" that the kids would push separately and as teams. It was about eight feet across. They had a lot of fun.
