female cats fighting

We never have more than 1 cat in the house but eventhough we only have 1 it does not mean that our cat never have a fight. She sometimes fight with streets cat or our neighbour cats. I hate when they are fight because it is so disturbing, so noisy.

Are both fixed? I find female cats that are unfixed with age with get more agressive, if they are fixed before they hit maturity that behaviour will go away. I have never had issues with fixed females cats, now male cats different. I try to socialize my cats, with other cats my parents, siblings or friends even as playdates. I have 1 female cat and know not to get another. She is a princess, and I know she woul get jealous with another female, but I have two male cats who are fine. If you continue to seperate them it will make it worse. Slowly introdcue them, let them fight it out, they need to find out who is boss. Have a spray bottle with water, or water and lemon juice, if it gets out of hand spray them.

I wish I could help. Until Heidi came in last October, we haven't had too much trouble with the girls, except Prissy doesn't really like ANYONE. But when Heidi came in, Daisy decided she hated her guts and if Heidi even looks like she's trying to be friendly, Daisy goes off on her.
