lol...No, a hula hoop will not make you infertile. If anything, the hula hoop will help whittle your waist. Hula hooping is good exercise. I love using my water weighted hula hoop, though it's bent and needs to be replaced this summer. Hula hooping is healthy, so use your hula hoop everyday and you will increase the amount of fun you have while whittling your waist.

Your response increases my wills to do hula hoop every morning :) I don't have much time. So, I must get up early to do exercise. I sometimes feel tired and frustrated. But I would like to have a beautiful waist. I'll try to continue... Wish you the best wishes!

Wow...I think it is impossible! I know a woman who was over 65KG a few years ago, and became 50 KG after she persistently do the hula hoop and she's healthier now and having raised a baby, now the baby is 2 years old. Maybe only the doctors can tell the actual result.

It's great to hear about that woman. She must be very patient to reduce 15 kg! How long does she take to make it?

That is stupid, I think. It won't make you infertile if you're healthy that way.

"if you're healthy" please note that. Some sensitive people can goof up their insides with even the slightest stuff.

I don't think it makes you infertile, unless of course there are certain harmful movements that you do (which is highly unlikely). Perhaps this idea came from the fact that the hoop actually hits your sides. As far as I know, hula hoop is a very good form of exercise and it really makes your waist small.

Wow. I had never heard of that. I did a search and you were right it was a little bit confusing. Although my search did not say whether that was possible or not. It basically talked about using a hula hoop to get exercise. I apologize that I do not have a direct answer for you. I had never heard that hula hoops are harmful to women or could possibly cause infertility. I hope you can really find out one way or another.

Strange. I have read some other strange claims to infertility too, one being that strong painkillers during menstruation can do this, and I must say I have seen for myself for about 5 people that there is a definite connection. However, hula hoops - don't know. Better to be safe than sorry. I always play on that side.

I heart that hula hoop is not harmful. But we shouldn't play it during menstruation

Wow! there are millions of little girls who used the hula hoop including my self. I think whoever started that rumor is really stupid! Just an urban legend that I've never heard of.

Hmmm...I don't know about that. I was a hula hoop champ when I was young. However, I chose to never have children. But I don't think it can ruin fertility, I mean, take a look when it was a fad, 1958 - early 60's. That was Baby boomer time I believe, People were having babies right and left. I mean, if the hula hoop made women infertile, then we would have no baby boomers. don't worry, I was born during that craze, so were many others. You will be fine :) it will also make your waist slimmer!

Their are lots of benefits when you are exercising using hula hoop like burns fat, tones your body, increase your fitness level, improves your flexibility of the spine, your coordination and also your mood and more. Hula hoops also have disadvantages to those individuals who have pre-existing back problems, and heart problems. Hula hoops doesn't make you infertile, thus enhance fertility and keep you fit during pregnancy. When you said infertile it is due to stress and over fatigue and more.

I had no idea it could make someone infertile! But I don't think hula hoop exercise is harmful, if done moderately. Don't worry too much about what others say. Do you like to do it? Does it make you loose wight and be healthier? Then do it!

Hi, friend. I've heard such sayings. I can't judge them as rumors or other things because i really do not know whether they are true or not. I can share my own experience with you. When i was 20 in unversity, i wanted to be slim. So i did some exercise to lose weight, including hula hoop. It's really effective to me. I don't know whether it affects women. But i am 30 now and i had two children already.

That's nonesense and illogical at best. You have no reason to worry. If hula hooping made you infertile so would walking. And you walk right ?

Hula hoop as much as your little heart desires ;) I have never heard it can make you infertile. If anything it should make you MORE fertile by shaking things up and getting them moving! As a matter of fact I think I may get me one. I could use a little trim around the waste.
