So finally Supreme court has announced its verdict regarding Sanjay Dutt involvement in 1993 Mumbai attacks. He had already spend 18 months in jail and have to further spend another 3 and a half years more in jail. But the main victims would be the producers who have put crores of rupee on Sanjay Dutt. So what Sanjay had done, he had to bear the brunt of that.

It was very emotional moment for Sanjay Dutt to be jailed at this stage of life when he might have forgotten all the bitter moments that tarnished his image years back. now he is a good actor, have a daughter, is married so it would be very tough for him to spend 5 years in jail.

The decision has come too late and this is not right. Justice delayed is justice denied. Dutt have to undergo 3 and a half years in prison.

Dutt has suffered mentally and now he has to undergo physical incarceration. When his Dad was alive he had help from Cong(I) but beta Dutt went to Samajwadi party(?) for a ticket and lost. The cong led UPA is least inclined in helping his cause. They are busy trying to protect Stalin(Karunanidhi's son) from the CBI raid. The charges are serious and he has to undergo punishment.

I wonder why Indians always delay such judgements.. Those found guilty of crime should be punished

That's the problem. But finally justice has come. But many producers have to bear the brunt as they may lose crores of rupees.

I am his fan, I like his style a lot but he is found guilty and has to be punished. Though he has done a lot of social service and considering this Supreme court has strip 1 year from his imprisonment. So Sanju Baba you have to go to jail though I doesn't like...

This judgement is a heartbreak for all of dutt's fans but everybody has to accept the decision. What he did was wrong and he will have to pay for it. The issue of discussion is that whether "the delay" is justified or not. The courts must be prudent while giving out the judgement because even the constitution says that "no innocent person should be punished". But i think that the Indian judicial system is "lazy" rather than "prudent" and it is very agonizing for the family as well as the person himself. A six-year jail sentence in 1993-94 would not have been that agonizing as compared to the 5-year sentence given now. Although Sanjay Dutt has said that he will complete all his commitments (his on-going shooting installments), But even if producers do loose some money, the blame should not be put on Sanjay Dutt. Loosing money is far more bearable than what Sanjay Dutt will have to go through

well this was something that sanjay dutt said. he gave the statement that before going to jail he will complete all his prior commitments. We don't know at what stage of completion his movies are. If he has given this statement, it might be possible that his shootings might be almost over

Crores of Rupees are riding on back of Sanjay Dutt. yet apart from this, Sanjay Dutt is likely to get a lot of public sympathy and from many of his friends in filmy circles.

Lot of sympathy is coming from parties and Bollywood actors and producers. Sympathy is from his fans as well but they are not opposing the verdict as well. I think the verdict is right and Sanju is left with no other options than to surrender.

I think court should show some mercy. He has changed alot after that 18months in jail. Every day was a nightmare for him. He has a family now. Three and half year is not a short period. He has handled himself very well. I know he should be punished but why so late? On the other hand if the court shows mercy, it will also have to think of other criminals as well. Court might have made proper decision. We think emotionally thats our problem.

All celebrities can do great social works after breaking the law to demand mercy from court. Sanjay have to pay for what he has done in the past. But verdict has come too late. And for that Court has reprieved Sanjay for one year - from 6 to 5 years.
