honesty is not the best policy

Do you this generation observes honesty? In schools, honesty is being taught and the wonders of it. Even at home, mothers say "Honesty is the best policy". This can also be seen mostly in schools and universities, and other establishment. Even in the examination papers you will read this quotation. But now, is honesty still prevails? I have observed that people this time is forgetting honesty. In our class, most of us cheats so to pass the exam. Even in ourselves, we aren't honest. We always pretend to please everybody and to be accepted. Others do the dishonesty because of fears or to have something they desired most. I admit that I am not 100% honest but then as much as I can, I will not be so dishonest to the point that I may hurt others. For me, sometimes we need to lie for teh sake of others but not of our own sake.

I still think this saying is true. Well, for most people. If you're not a pro at shadyness, you can be fine for a while with being dishonest and scamming people, but later, it would come back to you. People won't trust you, someone would spill the beans, and you could get publicly humiliated, people would treat you the same... If you're honest, you can be sure that these things can't happen to you, at least.

Yes you are right. What will you do to others will come back to you twice as what you did. This is what we called "Karma". But some people are not afraid and ignoring the consequences of their dishonesty. Maybe because of selfish desires they will do anything just to have it.

it is too hard to be honest 100 percent but I do also try my best to be honest that much is in my capacity . sometimes we get force to not be honest or for saving someone's life ... we lie in that kind of situation but it is good to control it.. if we get habit of saying small lies, then we will become a big lier and sin of saying lie will hurt or destroy many lives... so it is good to try best to be honest... and to not lie.
