Is It Harder to Buy or Sell on eBay?

In my experience I have found that listing something on eBay, selling it, and then going to the post office to have it shipped is more of a hassle then just bidding on something and waiting for it to come in the mail. What do you think? Are you personally more likely to buy off eBay or sell?

I've only ever bought. I once tried to resell, without success.

JohnRok1 I just started selling on e-bay. I listed one item and it didn't sell in the first 7 day auction..so I relisted it and it sold. Try again if you are interested..it's really fun. I used the priority mail and printed the label off the internet and it was all so easy. Now I have listed more things...

This is silly. Obviously it is easier to buy than it is to sell. Buying is more of a passive activity whereas selling requires more thought and action. I am currently selling on EBay because I need the money.

It's a lot easier to buy on eBay, because you can find a good deal. If you sell, you might not get the exact price you want because someone else is selling the same thing cheaper.

I think both methods are hard because a lot of times people run the bidding up, and you get the bidding high and keep on bidding on an item even though you can't afford it. This happened to me last month when bidding on 8 justice shirts lot.

Personally, I feel that buying off of ebay is so much easier. I have sold some things, and trying to take things to the post office, box them, figure out pricing, and send them is frankly more trouble than it should be, in my personal opinion.

I've been buying on eBay for years and I've also done some selling. To me buying is definitely easier. You just bid and wait to see if you've won. Between taking photos, completing the listings, answering questions and shipping, selling can be a bit tiresome. Especially if you have a fulltime job. I make purchases often and it's probably my number one go to place online. I love the selection and have only had one incident in all my years of using eBay. I even have some favorite sellers on there that I check on a weekly basis. You can find everything you need in one place and the good thing is the average seller is very conerned about their reputation/rating so they go out of their way to ensure you receive a great product.

It's much easier to buy in my opinion. You need only a credit card (paypal is the best payment method in my honest opinion) and items will be sent at your address. Selling it's harder because you have to set a good price and wait people to buy from you. Also, when they buy you have to find a service for sending your items, and sometimes if the mail sending have delays many problems arrive. In facts for now I've only bought from ebay (50 buys), but I will try sending something very soon
