I Don't Feel The Easter Spirit Just Yet

Okay, this is just me coming from a religious perspective as a Catholic. The 40 days prior to Easter are known as Lent in my tradition (as I'm sure many Protestants recognize, too). During this period, one is expected to give something up that they feel attached to that he/she enjoys doing that isn't sinful in itself (in which case, you shouldn't be doing it anyway). This period is supposed to be one of deep personal reflection and contrition. Likewise, when I see advertisements for Easter products, I feel like the free market is trying to get me to celebrate when I have no reason to yet. Sure, I enjoy celebrating Easter as much as the next person, but what's the point in celebrating if you've already been doing that for the past few weeks, as the free market would ideally want you to?

Well i can understand your situation very well and i think u need not to think about anything when u have an opportunity to celebrate something. I know u have been the doing the same thing for the past few weeks but if u do the same thing on an occasion like Easter. So forget everything and get into the perfect mood to celebrate Easter.
