Needed remedy for cold

Hi Friends. I wanted to know the remedies for common cold. I am allergic to cold. When i have cold i can't bear it. It is very difficult to work in office, not able to concentrate. Sneezing all the time. Medicines will not hold good for me. By the help of Medicine cold is gone for a while and it comes back again.

just follow the regular diet and take the normal set of tablets and you will be doing fine ideally with cold ,and good sleep

If there is no proper sleep does it increases cold? Is sleep to do anything with cold?

as for me, i tend to have common colds all the time and usually i drink medicine and after a few minutes the cold is gone but also i get drowsy and must take a rest or nap then after i woke, i feel so much better. also i think for us not to get colds easily it is better to excercise and take vitamin c and eat lots of fruits and drink lots of water..

Well i can understand your situation very well n i know u must be feeling terrible due to cold. First of all, u should take rest and should work whenever u r having cold as it is harmful for your health to work whenever you r having any illness. Besides u can have hot milk or hot tea or coffee at least twice a day and also drink a garlic tea which is considered very good to treat cold.

When I feel a cold or flu coming on I load up on Vitamin C. I take it like you would take antibiotics...about 2000mg 3x/day. I'd say at least 90% of the time this has reversed the symptoms and stopped the illness from progressing.

Hi mansoak, I used to have cold and flu very often previously. Ever since I took some vitamin C and fruit juices, my immunity improved tremendously and I have not having cold for almost a year. One thing I will take note to drink a lot of warm purify /clean water.

The best think is too just drink hot chicken broth and too have orange juice with it. that always works for me! and i get over colds fast that way. if you can have some warm lemon tea with honey because the honey coats your throat and gets rid of any swelling and irritation.

All I can say is drink a lot of water if you already have it, eat fruits if you can, and sometimes take a look around is it really a cold? or may be the dust on your work or place you usually stay in. Anyway hope you'll feel better soon.

I think you should drink warm drinks regularly, or more exactly all day, take vitamins and dress up well (if it's winter, put on a cap/hat, a scarf, gloves, have a thicker jacket which is long enough to cover your kidneys, also a long enough sweater as well).

Here in Mexico for a cold, we drink lemon juice and honey. Works for us here. Try it. :)

When I have a cold, I only do water therapy. My usual consumption of water is 5 to 6 glasses when I am feeling okay. When I have a cold, I am making it 8 to 10, and it is actually pretty effective for me. Eat a lot of fruits, especially those rich in vitamin C. And the most important, take care of yourself because prevention is better than cure. Get well soon!
