Finally the ipl drama has begun

Most of the true lover of cricket doesn't like ipl much. But the fact is that ipl is bringing more positivity to Indian cricket rather than negativity. BCCI has ordered curators to make very sportive wickets that should assist very little spin. No captain will have a say in pitch whether playing at home. That's really the nice one. Foreigners should not get a chance to learn anything about spin.
Also the BCCI is sending india A to tour to SA so that they may not feel at sea during our down under. I think BCCI would take India tour to SA very seriously, if that so chances of Indian team chances to seal a victory there may seem realistic.

I am true lover of Cricket like you and others, you already said I really don't like IPL. I can't understand why most people becoming mad for this fake drama organized to earn money. In result i have already left to watch from 2011 and waiting for in which year it will stop.

I don't see ipl stopping in near future. On the contrary, it will only become larger and larger. IPL is going to benefit Indians more than it will harm.

Cricket is known as a gentleman's game. But IPLs are full of unwanted fashion show, excessive expressions to please crowd etc all controlled by money lobbies. Spirit of cricket is rarely occur in IPLs. It is just like a carnival. If money lobbies influence is controlled some good change may occur.

We are criticizing ipl and England and Australia fans are accusing their board for not allowing their players to play in ipl. They say that their performances in India will improve if their players play in ipl and we say that our over seas performance are not good because of ipl.

Yeah you are right Mohkanari , IPL is Involved with Money to a large extent and rumors about fixing games which takes out the interest of the game for a true cricket lover .

I am eagerly waiting to watch some great finishes in this IPL. I want every team to do well so that the entire tournament will be interesting. Indian players should take this opportunity to improve their game further especially after their test victory over Australia.

I think players like Zaheer and Umesh Yadav can check their fitness level. I think a lot of matches are going to be closed and some will finish at the very last ball of the match.

That's very good news.Actually the main problem with IPL is that after playing just 4 hours of cricket you make money ten times than what you will get out of playing test matches.So there are many players who does not care about playing domestic competitions and getting into national sides.Another problem is that its too long but you are correct ,from last few years BCCI has taken good measures to make sure that there is minimum harm from IPL and maximum gains.By gains i mean the large amount of money which can be used to get best training facilities and playing conditions. If the pitches in IPL are sporting and have good pace and bounce then it will bring long term benefits to Indian batsman.For example playing Steyn on a wicket with pace and bounce will give valuable experience.Its a welcome move by BCCI, best wishes.

There are lot of cricketers that will never ever make it into the national side, so at least they can make money by playing in ipl so that penury type of situation never occur in their life.

It is that time of the year and we can enjoy the IPL asa more as possible with new sponsor and new renovated team and good players waiting in the wings,there is more to expect this season,it is going to be a pure and good season of entertainment combined with cricket wedding for sure,i will watch all the matches

I will not watch all the matches and also no match from start to finish but I see last 5 overs of the match. It's that time that the match become very interesting.

IPL is good only for entertainment purpose , when compared to the real game it is missing .A few positive things happening because of IPL is Local Talent of India is being seen , rest all are financial matters.

But have you seen how Indians players are playing shots now. Not only they play strokes but do that with great confidence and also with panache. That doesn't happen earlier. Only few players used to do that before. Don't you think so.

Well for me i don't follow the ipl much just because of the fact that i am not able to decide which team to support,all these players which we have always seen playing for the indian team suddenly are in opposite teams playing against each other which is quite new to the indian audience.But the amount of success that ipl has obtained is commendable,apart from the entertainment to the audience ipl has also proved to be a boon to the domestic cricketers who do not have to wait anymore to be selected for the natinal team to be successfull.
