what do you say when the play on dvd plays to the end?

Hi,dear mylotters,what do you say when the film on TV or the play on DVD plays to the end?it ended,right?it finished,right?and how to ask if the play to the end.can i say: is it ended?is it finished?has it ended?has it finished?is it to the end?i'd appreciate if you give me the right answer.

It it finished i guess, finished in that particular part, not really ended, because some movies or game on dvd has part two, specially if the mover or game is a nice one, the tend to make part two of it, sometimes three to four part. Anyway i'm confused of the words "finish" and "end" what is the particular difference between the two words? What is the proper usage of this words?

i think the words of 'finish'and'end' are the same

I generally say "It has ended" or "Its done. All your responses looks correct. It is just a matter of what tense you want the response to be in. (Example past, present, or future tense, ect.) Often, native English speakers can determine what a person is trying to say even if the grammar is incorrect. Hope this helps.
