what happened to shows that could really help you?

There used to be all kinds of shows on about getting fit, being health, cleaning and decluttering your house. I miss them. They would tell you step by step what to do, using someone else as an example. Now days you can watch a show on how to redo your kitchen in 30 minutes and the work gets done almost magically. I want a show that will show me how to change the faucet. The declutter/cleaning shows gave tips on how to get things done. They were actually inspiring, to me anyway. I would watch a show then have a fresh go getter attitude. After I watch some of the shows today I have a crap, my life sucks attitude. The only way to get your house improved by those shows is to be the actually lucky person choosen to be on the makeover shows. There is no benefit from watching those shows unless you have the big bucks to hire a contractor and buy all new things. That aint me.

I loved the shows that helped me to take the clutter out of my home. One program on that was called Making Space. I found it ever so useful and helpful. I liked seeing a program called How Clean Is Your House? I miss seeing that one too. I love seeing the 60 Minute Makeover. Tonight I watched a money saving plus make do and mend sort of program. It features a lady called Mrs Money Penny. There was an excellent gardening program with a man giving couples a dream garden on a chosen budget. I miss that one as well. I don't have enough money to do the garden makeover or home improvement. I wouldn't want to appear on television.

I wouldn't want to be on tv either. I would hate to see myself on tv. I would be sooo embarassed to have my messy cluttered house on tv as well.

Hi Max I love to declutter. My secret is to make three piles, One for KEEP, one for SALE one for GIVE this has always helped me to make room and I always feel good when I get the job done. I know the shows you are talking about and they were very helpful indeed, another thing I have done is look through magazines and take out pictures that you would someday like that room to be. Keep a scrap book and when the day comes you can afford to you will at least have some idea's of what you would like, it keeps the dream going. You never need big bucks to dream or to declutter. Oh and get those plastic bins they help to stay organized too.

There are programs like this on comcast on demand. I especially like the exercise programs. They are usually short and fun.
