Woohoo!! Another CMW dinner tonight, so that means about 200 of our friends are going to show up at Arabesque Cafe, and we're all going to stuff ourselves. Even though most of the group is Muslim, there's no dress code. Just come in what's comfortable. Since I know how o put on a hijab, I'm going to use the opportunity to be creative. I have the black dress I ordered from Macy's in January, te gold shiny blouse with the subtle almost-leopard print I got at Bloomingdales when I was there (the pattern's so subtle it's hardly noticable, but it's just enough to give the shirt a little more sparkle), and a scarf I've had for years. Somewhat sheer black material with shiny gold music notes all over it. That will definitely make an interesting hijab. I am getting a haircut before I get there (been needing one for a while!) so the fact that the material is quite sheer won't make a lot of difference. LOL The last dinner we went to I re-purposed an old sarong into a hijab, and my hair was still coming out of it! haha I knew then, that I needed a hair cut, and I needed one N-O-W! LOL Really looking forward to the food and the fun tonight. It's going to be great!

You said, there is no dress code for the party. Most of the guests would be Muslims. You decided to wear hijab. Is it to please your Muslim friends ? But I must appreciate your idea of making a hijab like dress.
