Are we Loving our parents the same way we are loving our kids ??? A self realization for each one of us that are we doing justice to them. It happens that as the time flies Parents grow old and the thinking process becomes stubborn and a bit Old as compared to the advancement of the society and outer world. And sometimes we start ignoring the views of our parents resulting in some sort of ignorance or a decline in love towards them. A perfect Balance has to maintained while we nurture a perfect aura of love and affection in our family space. Requesting all readers including me to just sit back relax and think are we up to the mark !!!!!!!!! Love our Parents the same way we have expected Love from them......

as we grow older, we become independent and weaned from our parents. we slowly go our own way in life. when it becomes our turn to be parents, we focus our energy in providing the best for our children, the way our parents did for us. loving our kids doesn't mean we have ceased to love our parents. we give our children more attention because it is our obligation as parents. they need us until they become independent and are able to care for themselves. some of us may be guilty of taking for granted our parents. we need to show parents that we haven't lost our love for them. we need to assure them that we haven't forgotten them even if we do not need their guidance anymore. both of my parents passed away already. i live away from my country so when they were still alive, i would see them only once every year. however, i never failed to talk with them at least once every week. i inquired about their health, whether they had money, etc. i would always ask them for details of their daily lives. it has been years since they're gone but when i think about them, i still ask myself "was i able to give them enough? was i able to show them how much i loved them?" i don't know THEIR answers to these questions. i am not perfect and my answer to these would NOT always be yes.

We must love our parents. It is not a question for us to answer, but a command from God that we have to obey. If we want our children to obey us, respect us, and love us, then we also have to do that to our parents. We must be a good role model to them.
