Low interest in News report! / myLot

As I observe with the youths of today's generation while watching television is that they don't have any interest in lending their ears to it.In contrary they are resourcing some channels that mostly talk about celebrity or in showbiz business.When I was young, i still do that but I now realized the importance of knowing current issues in your surroundings not only politically,socially but also environmentally.How about you?what catches your interest in watching television?Are you hooked with the news report or you tend to disregard hearing those.

I don't listen to the news morning noon and night. I listen usually to the evening news after Ellen. I think that I get enough of what is going on. I have severe depression so I don't like to hear the stories of accidents, murders, atrocities that people do, etc. I just can't handle it!

i not the big fan of the tv but for the news about business, ohhh yeah that what i interest on. sport, celebrity, and other get lost i got not interest at all

I am also not a fan of watching news until I became a young adult. I felt way back then that news are redundant and sounds stressful and so I find it boring and uninteresting. Now, I become more concerned on things like what is happening around the world, that I know it is a must known knowledge so we've got tobe updated time to time.

Hi, I use to stay on top of current events by watching news on television but lately due to the slight modification of my set up and schedule, I may have missed some events that has transpired for the past few weeks. I already have this internet connection at home and coming in late in the afternoon, right away I go to the world wide web. I think there are news there and besides, I have my trusty transistor radio to listen to local news and advisories. I also think watching events on national level does not directly impact on my life like the reports on the traffic situation in EDSA when I am thousands of kilometers away walking a few blocks from my office to my house or is already relaxing on the couch for that matter, the news is quite irrelevant. One thing the youth find relevance is about showbiz and that is where they gravitate when given a chance. For them, politics, terrorism, crime and the usual stuff of news items is a thing for that belongs to another time and another place.
