I remembered this movie moved my inner core and really soaked into my heart. I recommend this movie to all those who are having hardships in their lives and those who are thinking about giving up. This movie may be old but its content still holds its truth until now.

Its not just a good movie but a fantastic movie to say the least. You should watch this movie my friend for you will really learn lots of lessons and be inspired to continue living life.

Its the best movie ever along with Godfather, no wonder its ruling at number one on IMDB from long time.There are lot of movies based on famous novels but very few are as good as the books.Darabont did a great job in directing this,it will always be very inspiring.Hope is a beautiful thing, i cannot forget this line ever.

My favorite line in this movie would be from andy saying "get busy living or get busy dying". It really moves me into reflecting on what I am doing with my life.

I haven't seen that movie yet, in what year it was released? The title itself is nice, i'll try to search this movie on the internet and download it. It seems this is a good movie to watch. Thanks for posting and recommending the movie.

I actually have a cop of it but i never bothered to watch it since i did not like the summary of the story, but i did keep a copy of it. Thank you for bringing it up, i almost forgot about it.

I hope it is a good film indeed..

OMG, SHawshank Redemption is one of my ultimate favorites, next to "Second Hand Lions" and "The Green Mile". These movies are so artistically done. It's the craftsmanship of human talent and creativity at its finest. I don't think I will ever get tired of watching these movies. If you haven't seen "Second Hand Lions", I suggest you do especially if you are having some family issues. And of course "The Green Mile" when you think your faith is faltering.
