General Hospital 4/8/13

If you're going to watch. Now is the time to watch. A lot of people have started watching the show again. They are bringing back a lot of the actors from the 80's. If you're lost you can always catch up by checking out youtube. There are a couple people who upload full videos. If you're going to start I suggest starting with the Nurses ball Which started last Friday I believe. Then there was the whole Duke/Faison storyline. That was pretty good as well and that started in the fall. The downside about a soap is that they move so fast that you come in kind of lost, but luckily it doesn't usually take that long to catch on. The new producer and writer they hired have really turned the show around. It is the best it has been in years.

I think a lot of people have memories like that. My mom never watched GH when I was growing up. I actually got her into it. She watched it back when it first came on but stopped before I was born. She was like that with Guiding Light though when that was on. I'm kind of like that now lol. My boyfriend isn't allowed to talk during it. Not even now that I got him hooked into it. He isn't allowed to speak until it is over. Coincidentally the time it comes on also happens to be my sons nap time lol. Hope you have a great day too!

Great, my mom used to watch many years back. I remember her sitting here and watching. Shed hear or say nothing for the hour it was on. Have a great day there.

My boyfriend says he prefers Sabrina with the glasses. He is an odd one. I never paid much attention to any resemblance between Sabrina and Elizabeth, not saying it's there I just don't pay attention I guess. Yeah, Frisco did put Felicia on the spot. I don't blame her at all. Frisco isn't very deserving of her. He kept up and leaving. He should have had the realization that she meant more to him before he chose his job over her. He should have stuck around for his daughter. It probably made poor Maxie feel like she was just some ploy to get to her mother. I guess Felicia and Frisco fans were in an uproar over how he left. Some are now saying they wont watch GH anymore. I personally think they are over reacting. Twitter was stormed with hate messages to the Head writer and producer. I was like woah, get a grip! I never cared much for Richard Simmons either, but I still loved his and Lucy's interaction. I found it fairly amusing. He usually just annoys me. I only wish the plan were about Robin! Not liking the way it really went.

IF I am not mistaken...Jack Wagner is a regular on another soap...Bold and Beautiful or Days of our Lives...so they couldn't have let the character stay. I think that what they had him do to Felicia was trashy...have that done in private. Granted..sing the song as that was his first hit when GH made him a star, but just let it go at that.. and not put that mess in the Nurses Ball. I can't get used to Sabrina without the glasses either. I am leaning more to her looking more natural with them! Without will grow on all of us tho! Richard Simmons was a regular years ago...just before the INSANCE annoyance of Luke and Laura epic started. I think how they brought him back was pathetic. I dont' care one way or another for the character, but he was a nice guy before, now they have just made him a disaster full of hate. It was SO not appropriate for the Nurse's Ball. And Lucy's "in her skivies" all the time..that was regular thing back in the day, but it was always an accident that made it happen...her dress got caught on the curtain and as the curtain went up, so did her dress...things like that. This putting her in the closet and then...fighting over her dress...just stupid. I loved the Milo and his Man Crew...all but MIchael...he just didn't fit in with the rest! And I enjoyed Ephimamy and Tracy and Monica yesterday and I wonder if they are going to put Max and Olivia together...now that both of them have lost their other fav and they were together at the ball...... I was not all that entertained with the ball. Bit disalusioned. THey had far to much other stuff going on...that constantly took the lime light from the ball. And to much sadness...the Frisco thing, the Britt thing, the Richard thing. To much taking away from the ball. And oh yeah..the Maxie/Ellie thing, and the Maxie/Frisco thing. What I couldn't get past to was...the audience was ONLY those in the show!!! No "others" in the audience! It was actually annoying me! Stupid I know, but it just was to disruptive to my liking. The whole audience, which was small to begin with..and only the regulars nad all in the show! I think Alexis was the only one not in a number! I saw AJ and Liz there..did they do something and I just missed it? I was expecting those to to do some Ginger Rogers/Fred Astair kind of thing. And SOnny didn't do anything...or Carly. But those two.. I can do without anyway!

I never saw any of the other nurses balls. I did love this one though. I can't compare because as I said I have never seen any of the other ones. I watched an episode of GH with Richard in it on the marathon, but he was barely in it. I guess the audience didn't bother me. I loved the performances, and I just thought Richard and Lucy were funny. I may be one of the few that did, but my sense of humor is on the odd side. Michael seemed to young to be in with the others. Although Milo is on younger side I think. The brothers Max and Milo are actually from where I live now (Bowling Green, Ohio)Derk and Drew Cheetwood. My sister went to school with Derk, but Drew is a bit younger. I remember going to the local library and finding pictures of Derk in old yearbooks. Couldn't find any of Drew and wasn't sure when he graduated, but I remember someone my brother is friends with was friends of Drew's and he was a few years older than my brother. So not a clue. Anyway back to the ball. I loved seeing Monica backing up Epiphany that just amused me, especially Tracy lol. I love Jane Elliot. I do think what Frisco did to Felicia was horrible, but he deserved to be publicly humiliated for putting her in that spot to begin with. It was on the sad side at times, but I got a kick out of seeing the skits and such. AJ and Liz did do something apparently but it was off screen, because it just showed after the performance not the performance itself. I would have liked it if they did a Fred and Ginger sort of thing, although personally I'm more of a Gene Kelly fan! Ha ha.
