Microwave popcorn vs. Air-popped popcorn

This may sound silly to discuss, but my husband really dislikes microwave popcorn but loves popcorn for the air popper. I don't think there is enough of a taste difference to prefer one over the other, unless it is burnt.
Do any of you prefer one over the other? If so, why?

I like microwave popcorn, but I definitely have to say I like air popped better. It just feels like theatre popcorn and I enjoy being able to put more or less butter on it, and real butter rather than the artificial butter they use in most microwave popcorn.
Also I think microwave is less healthy, as far as I can remember.
