Is there any real data entry job online or...

This kind of job does rarely appear online. I've heard about some data entry jobs on odesk - They scan some written documents and you need to type what written in that paper. But it's so rarely happened. I guess it's because it's less practical, and less accurate. Maybe company prefer to hire people/institute that they already know well to do the data entry.

I have tried one or two sites. I worked on them but when the time came to pay out, they do not respond at all. All my efforts were just useless as I did not get paid. Please also let me know if there are any sites which really pay for data entry jobs.

I don't think there is any data entry jobs because they have be replaced by better scanning methods. What is out there are jobs that require more personal contact with the customer and in this kind of job there might be some computer input use. I think the good news is that people do find good work and though they may use the internet on a daily basis, sometimes right from home the work is not simply typing. We just have to find the right channel I guess that is made for us.
