I went to the Land Register Office,to get my title deed rectified, but the additional revenue officer has been shunting my file from one office to another for the past three weeks without putting proper signature. The Collectors office is sending it back saying that the revenue officer has to sign or else they will not approve it.Do you think He makes this delay for getting money?

Hi ruby! In our country, we have this law implemented to address this problem. This is called the "Anti Red TAPE Law". the aim is to totally eliminate graft and corruption in the government. The people can report to the proper authority those agencies that are not complying with this law. Although some may have not known this. We are still undergoing some evaluation basically, to check the compliance of these agencies and also to know if the people know about this law. Being a taxpayer, we have the right to get the best service from our government. Have a great day!

It would be unfair if we are going to generalize this discussion. Not all Government Employees are alike. I worked in a government sector, I was assigned in a Health Center and I never asked for anything in exchange. I think not all government officials are alike. In your situation you can just go and ask them on why it takes so long.

The sad fact, they completely ignore you and refuse to give you an answer, especially the people in the revenue department.

Hi, It is certain that government employee, a person paid out of our own taxes and taking an oath to be a civil servant is quite far from his league. I say, he may be waiting for the bribe money in order to make transaction sail through the bureaucratic red tape. People like that should be reported to the proper authorities for disciplinary actions or be a subject to an entrapment operation. If all else fails, it is fitting to bang down his head on the table to make it more useful.

I think that the delay is due to an ineffective system and a lot of backlog files. You can also factor in some lazy employees (every agency and company has them)sometimes, the government employes deem that your transaction/issue is not important and they might delay it in the queue or there might be a lot of people asking for the same thing. There rae many factors but you have every right to complain since your tax pays their wages.

That is really anoying to be send to another then to the other one. Well, the only one thig that I could think of why they are doing that or why isbthat happening because of their bad system. Their system is not well organize, even the enployees maybe really don't know well there system that is why you are send of to the another office again and again. Well, goodluck to you myfriend, hope you'll finish it soon. Have a nice day my friend! Stay cool

Hey Ruby ! Person who working in private concern will have the fear of losing job if they are not performing well, but it's not in the case of Government Jobs. Government employees don't have this fear.. They got the chance !

Things like that happens specially if you are dealing with government employees. If you went to Register of Deeds to facilitate your land title make sure you know someone from the office to help you.We don't actually know his reason for not signing the documents but it is his work and that government employee should know that.I think so too that is another option he wants money and it is very frustrating.

Lots of Advantages of government employment. they get salary on time, they get bonus, they get paid leave still they are not working properly. as per my opinion they all become lazy. government employee knows no one is having time to report or file and complain against them. so they are not doing there work properly

Oh my god, that is really pathetic. i know it must be very tiring for you to run from one office to another to get your work done. This is the regular scene with the Govt officers where they do not work at all n one they r bribed they start working like machines, such a disappointing state of affairs of our Govt offices.
