So noisy

Hi, You are right. When its too noisy in the house it is very difficult to do the job effectively. But my son is 24 years old and it is very quiet in my home.

I have never minded noise, but my youndest daughter has the same problem. She uses earplugs when she has to concentrate at home. The earplugs do not leave all the noise out so that if something bad should happen, she still is able to listen to it.

That is one thing that I have always told my kids when I would often have online meetings with my bosses and clients via Skype. I need them to stay away from me as much as possible coz i get distracted and the noise might make my boss mad as well.

I don't experience this thing because my children are already teenagers. I would suggest that you work during the time that they are sleeping although if the number of work also available during the time they are awake, that would really be a problem. Well, perhaps you could give them something to work with so that they will not be very noisy, a project perhaps where they will need to give focus and concentration. Have a great day!

Hi kixsh101! Sorry to hear that you quit your job. I think it's really natural for kids to speak loud as they are not yet fully grown up as individual who are sensitive not just with their own needs but also with other people. Yah, noise is one of the barriers when working online. I experienced that when my nephew and nieces were here with me during their vacation with my sister and brother in law. I wasn't able to work even for few hours during those times. They even want to play online games almost the entire day but I understand it. With the noise of vehicles going in and out of the road beside my house and the crowd of people walking, talking and shouting out loud, videoke tripping overnight and dogs barking, I think it already helped me getting used to noise I don't have control of. I just recently purchased a headphone to at least hear the recorder audios for reviewing calls online. I also play music that can't destruct me but at least cover the noise of my environment. It helps. Patience sis.

I also difficult to write a good article when in my home so noisy. I like work in the middle night when to write some articles. I think it is a good idea if you looking for time to work when they go to school. I hope you be patient with the condition. Have a nice day.
