How to get to Laiya San Juan Batangas?

Philippines

Our company outing would on May 2-3. I don't usually take the bus rented by our office because I always bring my husband with me. We rented a van last year and there are 8 of us but this year it is only me and my husband. Since it is a Holiday on May 1, we wanted to try commuting from Manila to Batangas. I would like to know where we could take a bus or van going to Laiya? How much would be the fare? And are there any places or food we could visit and try while we are on our way to our destination? Thank you.

I am a frequent visitor of Laiya. It's my family's usual summer destination because it has the best white sand beaches in Luzon. But we do travel by car so I have no idea how to commute all the way to Laiya. But I have one suggestion. You should know which beach would you be going. Make sure you have a reservation because this is peak season so all the private beaches there are fully packed, otherwise you just have to content yourself to the public beach which won't really give you enjoyable treat because it is always teeming with people. Anyway, if you know the name of the beach then surf online and look at their website. I've been to different beaches there like La Luz, Palm Beach, Acuatico, Acua Verde, Blue Coral, Taramindu, Sabangan and their websites provide sketch and direction on how to travel by bus or by car. Besides they also have contact numbers and they can readily give you travel direction. If you don't have any specific beach to go yet, then just look at any of the websites of private Laiya beaches to get direction on how to get to Laiya. Anyway, it is just a long stretch of beach and the resorts are just one after the other so the only thing you need is know how to go to Laiya. Websites of private resorts in Laiya will certainly solve your problem.

Thank you for your suggestions. We've visited Sabangan way back in 2008 but we travel by our office vehicle that time so I really do not how to commute going to Laiya. Like I have mentioned earlier, it is our company's outing so we already have reservation. It is just that I only have one slot in the bus contracted by our office so we'll just be taking public bus going to Laiya. Apart from their beaches, are there any places worth visiting or restaurants which serves awesome food near the area? Because we're planning to stay in Batangas until May 5. Thank you.

It seems there are not other interesting place at Laiya apart from the beaches. Some private beach resorts offer buffet meal like La Luz, Acuaverde, Palm Beach, Blue coral and others but so far I think the best buffet food is offered by Aquatico Beach Resort. They offer Filipino and International cuisine. But Aquatico is always fully booked and more expensive than the other private resorts around. I just don't know if they allow outsiders to dine in. . I just don't know if there are other places to visit near Laiya. But I know Batangas has shrines and churches as tourist attractions although I am not really interested visiting them.

Thank you. I've seen Aquatico's rate and they are really expensive. The other team was there early this month and I heard that the place is really good, they were mentioning about their infinity pool. Yes I think they are not going to allow us to dine if we don't have reservations with them. I've seen Balai in Laiya's site and they have promos. I was thinking of availing their day tour promo which includes lunch buffet. I heard they serve really good food as well. I think will just take some photos of those shrines and will see if we could make good photos out of it. Thank you very much for your help.

I won't be able to give you constructive advice regarding directions because when we went on a company outing to San Juan, we rented transportation. Besides that, we came from Cavite where there is a shorter route to Batangas. We had a nice day at Palm Beach Resort however, I was not too happy with the roads which were then under construction. I don't remember how much we paid for the company outing but we were served sumptuous merienda and lunch from fresh harvest of the locals around the area. The grilled tilapia was simply delicious in as much as it has been freshly been caught from the surrounding waters. Before we left, the staff brought out some rambutan for which was greatly appreciated. One thing I noticed though is there were not too many people perhaps due to the expensive rates and the distance. However, if you are thinking of some relaxation far from the big city, San Juan Batangas is one good place for you.

I have heard that that place here in Batangas is great for a vacation. I have been in San Juan Batangas for school purposes. And it was a 2 hour trip from the city to the place. All the way to San Juan you can feel the nature :-). By the way to in to San Juan Batangas. First is from manila riding a bus all the way to Grand Terminal in Batangas. After that, you take a bus named "supreme" that was an old non-airconditioned. Tell the conductor that you want to in to San Juan. The ease will not take 60php per person. There you can in to San Juan town proper. You can ask the conductor where the laiya is and he will drop you to the nearest bus stop to that place. Thats it! You will not get lost here in batangas. Have a nice vacation. Keep safe!
