Man proposes Almighty may or may not approve

My classmate an ex-vice chancellor had sent me a pass so that I can attend the 45th Convocation of Utkal University on 25th April 2013; I have attended many such but here the main attraction was honorable President of India was the chief guest; I also wanted to meet my friends and mylot friends in Bhubaneswar . So it was decided that I will go; my son hired an air-conditioned van with a bed like seat at the back where I can relax and lie during the approximately 4 hour’s journey. I was supposed to move at 8pm. But at 5 pm my son reached home from his duty; he came by bike he said his body was burning like fire; he suffered from a heat stroke because of his 60 kms road journey in this hot weather. So I had to drop this journey; I also came to know later that some political party has called for a ‘BANDTH’ kind of strike; they block the roads, even rail lines; at times they become violent too; I could not have returned. Thus my faith that, we propose but the almighty may or may not approve came true. The most memorable Convocations I attended were when I received my B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degrees; I got my ‘GOLD-MEDALS’ as university topper; and when I got my PhD. I always want to see VVIP like President, prime minister; in 1957 I had seen our beloved Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru while he came to inaugurate the longest earth dam Hirakud dam 9 kms from my home. Have you attended convocations? Have you seen VVIP’s? Do you believe that we propose but god may or may not approve? Please share your thought and experiences. Please respond comment. Thanks in advance. Professor Dr. Bhuwan Saraf. PhD. April 26. 2013. Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

God do exists and he does takes care of his children. Coming to attending convocations or meeting VVIP's, well I am not fond of visiting crowded places hence not interested in convocations. And I am also not fond of meeting Politicians especially the Indian Politicians. Meeting or seeing them is such a waste of time.

I am a good and practicing Catholic. I believe that if I let God lead my life, He will take care of me. Just like what happen to you. It is not just a coincidence that something happened which prevented you to do something but it is actually God taking care of you. It happens often to me. I just pray everyday that He will take good care of me and of my family. Professor, congratulations for all the honors you received. I was able to shake the hands of the President of Taiwan and the former President of the Philippines. But the best memory of mine is when I kissed the hand of Pope John Paul II.

Hi Prof, humans just can effort but all decision on God's hand. I think you learn that we often do not get our dream although we want it be real. Yes, it also depend on your luck. But, don't worry God knows what you want, I hope you will get the dream become true. Have a nice day.
